This collection includes poetry, a crisis on the International Space Station, and an encounter with a bear in the Alaskan wilderness. It starts with “Every Star Starts as Dust,” a story about childhood love and heartbreak.
Next comes “The Sun Will Rise,” which goes about inspiring those who are down on their luck and tries to lift them through lyric poetry.
The last of the poems end with “Seasons Come and Go,” which describes the different seasons using a clever combination of the Japanese art of haikus.
“Into the Wild” starts with a group of boys gambling their money at a casino, trying to get enough to go on a trip to Alaska. Troubles on the plane before they even got there made for a bad start to their trip, but they did not let that stop them from going. Maybe it should have stopped them.
Finally, “Houston We Have a Problem,” follows the head electrical engineer at NASA who needed to go to the ISS for troubles on board. After the crew gets on board the lights start to flicker and the heavy breathing starts. They might have wanted to turn around.
