Because this novel portrays our precious Savior in a secular setting, the sins of the associates spill out in an ugly, unflattering manner. Flawed people accomplish God’s plan. The Bible depicts lust, violence, fear, and human weaknesses in an earthy way. So does this book. This story communicates God’s great love for humans in a form designed to entice people who want to read interesting stories. But they may not spend much time reading the Holy book.
The ideas expressed in this book maintain consistency with the concepts in Holy Scripture. The subject matter reverently emphasizes God’s great love for humanity. Empathizing God’s abundant love provided the impetus and purpose for this action-adventure, romantic, multicultural story.
