An Alcoholic Case

ByFrancis Scott Fitzgerald

An Alcoholic Case by Francis Scott Fitzgerald. Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald (September 24, 1896 - December 21, 1940) was an American novelist and short story writer whose work is typical of the jazz era. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century. Fitzgerald is considered a member of the 'lost generation' of the 1920s. He completed four novels: "This Side of Heaven", "Beauty and Curse", "The Great Gatsby" (his most famous work) and "The Tender Night". The fifth unfinished novel "The Love of the Last Tycoon" was published after his death. Fitzgerald has also written many short stories with themes of youth and dedication, as well as age and despair. Fitzgerald's works have been adapted into films many times. His short story "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is the basis of the film of 2008. "The Tender Night" was filmed in 1962 and became a TV miniseries in 1985. "Beauty and Curse" was filmed in 1922 and 2010, respectively. "The Great Gatsby" was the basis of countless films of the same name, spanning nearly 90 years: 1926, 1949, 1974, 2000 and 2013 adaptations. On top of that, Fitzgerald's own life was dramatized from 1937 to 1940 in 1958 in 'Dear Heretics'.
