Welcome to the Galactic Mining Consortium-A Percentile‑Based Science‑Fiction Roleplaying Game. Across the spiral galaxies of known space, one truth remains constant: where there are resources, there are those willing to risk everything to claim them.
The Galactic Mining Consortium, known simply as the "GMC", is one of the largest corporate power ever assembled—an interstellar engine of extraction, exploration, and exploitation. Its reach extends from the molten tunnels of tidally‑locked worlds to the drifting mineral reefs of rogue asteroids. Its workers, contractors, and troubleshooters form the backbone of a civilization built on ore, fuel, and the promise of profit.
The year is 2812 and the so-called Galactic Conflict has finally ended. Warriors and veterans alike are looking at peace as a new beginning. Fortunately, the GMC is looking for a few, good individuals that can handle themselves. You are one of them!
Whether you’re a surveyor charting unclaimed systems, a hauler captain threading debris fields, a security specialist keeping the peace on the frontier, or a deep‑core engineer wrestling with machines older than your home world, your decisions shape the Consortium’s future. Every contract is an opportunity. Every anomaly is a threat. Every new world is a gamble—of lives, credits, and corporate reputation.
Space is vast, hostile, and indifferent. The GMC thrives because its people don’t have the luxury of fear. They rely on training, grit, and the tools at their disposal. They also rely on the one thing that binds every employee, contractor, and freelancer together: the numbers.
GMC uses a percentile‑based rules engine, designed for clarity and tension. Every action—from firing a mining laser to negotiating a contract—comes down to a simple roll between 01 and 100. Your skills, equipment, and situational modifiers determine your target number. Roll equal to or under it, and you succeed. Roll over, and the void claims its due.
Critical successes and catastrophic failures aren’t rare—they are the norm! In the GMC, precision matters, but luck always has a seat at the table. But beware, sometimes that luck is bad!
