Cerberon

When Waterloo veteran George Allgood runs out of wealthy war widows to woo, he suddenly finds himself obliged to escort a family through a fantastic world full of magic and danger, aided by his life-long best friend, the unicorn Cerberon. With over three thousand miles to travel, they quickly obtain help from a mysterious elven wizard, who is much more dangerous than any of the other hazards that threaten them. They befriend an archer bearing a terrible curse, a family of vulture people, a young monster and a wild centaur. Soon they learn that the country they are traveling through is under threat of imminent annihilation by the Dragon Queen, the most powerful creature in the world. As George finds romance and Cerberon discovers what it means to be a unicorn, they must all escape the cataclysmic destruction of the Dragon Queen's attack.
