Gabrielle Dolphin returns from Kenya having worked with Dr. L.S.B. Leakey at Tigoni Primate Center and the Fort Ternan Excavation. Graduating from Pitzer College in a gorilla suit, she works a final summer at Wupatki National Monument and then heads back to Kenya with all her posessions in a trunk. She arrives with ten dollars in her pocket to be with Musyoka, a man she met while at Fort Ternan. She crosses over the threshold of the bachelor hut and found herself married to Musyoka, with a co-wife.
