This project was a labour of love for me. I started it by contemplating how many of my female friends had a real issue with loving themselves. The struggle is very real and happens in our heads every minute of every hour of every day.
Self-sacrifice is very common to a woman's nature. We are creatures of nurture. So giving a piece of ourselves to people we love is natural to most of us. But don't we sometimes go a bit too far in trying to serve others?
True love is unconditional and should come without any terms attached to it. We don't need to earn it - it must be given freely and abundantly. If it isn't, then it's a trade deal which has nothing to do with love.
The other point I want to make is that love starts with ourselves, our appreciation of our uniqueness, respect for our body, mind and soul and establishing firm boundaries that can never be broken, sacrificed or ignored.
This diary is meant to help you focus on yourself by taking some time every day to write about your own gorgeous self.
