G.D. Lorentzen is a Vietnam veteran who was born in Wyoming raised there and North Dakota in his early years. His family moved westward to the Puget Sound area of Washington State in 1961. He served in the Army Security Agency between 1968-1972 and served in Vietnam from April of 1969 to January of 1971. Thereafter, he graduated from The Evergreen State College and studied further at the University of Washington and Portland State University. He did his graduate studies in German at the University of Washington. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon.
The anthology, "Vietnam Stories," is historically based fiction that addresses some of the issues gay men have serving in the military.
