***** This book contains explicit content, including scenes of violence and sexual and emotional abuse, which may be triggering for some readers; reader discretion is advised. ***** It's hard to imagine being a person who is socially anxious. Afraid of many things. Trapped inside yourself. Unable to express your emotions verbally or physically before someone else. Most of the time, you could only 'accept' without knowing how to reciprocate or channel your feelings. A lot of people see that as a weakness. Unfortunately, some of them even dare to take advantages of you. And you keep questioning, "Why would they do that to you?" Or, "What did you do to deserve such treatment?" You'd be surprised how many people didn't care that they might hurt your feelings. They just wanted to feel better about themselves; wanted to feel that they have power over someone else. Over you. They haven't considered that you might have feelings too; that you might've been bottling up various kinds of emotions. They've never thought that there might be a day when there's no space left in the bottle; not knowing that, over time, the emotions would turn into a blazing fire that could consume anything in its way. They'd never imagined that, one day, you'd dare or be able to get them back. They don't know how vicious it could be. Especially if you were gifted with a certain supernatural power. A power over them. And if you use your power to punish them, you bet they'd be sorry. And so would you. Happy reading, Gendon S. ***** About The Phala Series ***** Phala means fruit. A fruit that we earned from the plant we nurtured. A plant that we nurtured carefully with love and dedication will give us a healthy fruit. And the one we maintained poorly or even neglected will give us rotten fruit. So are our actions; our work; our Karma. It will reward us accordingly. The 'payback' moments are varied. It could be as quick as the stories of the ancient times in the holy scriptures, or it could be stretched, delayed, just like in this era. Our time. Keep in mind that every action causes a reaction. Every deed has a consequence. And every result is a cause. An endless loop. Enjoy the read. I'd be honored if you'd take a look at the other novels from the Phala series. Gendon S.
