The Prison Within Me

A Real Life's Story, factual in account as seen from my personal perspective about my life in California, how my monetarily and emotionally poor family was so much on the move during my youth, and after witnessing so much family turmoil, that it set an unsuspecting pattern for me in later life, possibly the same as it has done for many young people of today's fast paced world. Having made three unsuccessful trips to the alter, fathering three children by three different mothers, I irresponsibly exhausted years of using and abusing sex, drugs and alcohol. My life was predictably ebbing away physically and emotionally and something had to change...or else. Finally, one night at the end of a drunken escapade, I leaned on a lamp post in total despondency. I called out to God for the help only He could give. I was searching desperately for a way out of what I perceived as "The Prison Within Me". There was only One who had those keys to that prison.
