A family history of the Packard family and their spouses who originated from Suffolk, England, in the Middle Ages. With this, the author has pieced together a family tree of twelve generations, making a continuous connection back to the 16th century. The author has found a mass of information on nearly all the Packards from Suffolk who have ever lived, and has turned this into a coherent whole. Family stories and events are allocated to each family member and a biography written for each person, some with notes on social history to give context. All of this is referenced back to the sources to make the work a definitive reference book or encyclopaedia, and heirloom for the family. The book has 797 pages and includes over 2,000 biographies, supported by illustrations, maps, portrait photos, a family tree, and a full index of names.
