Small wonders of nature have always held a fascination from my growing up on a farm and hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains . I still write poetry and short stories about insects, clouds, and everything in between. My children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren have enjoyed reading them. I still jot down my thoughts about the shape of a cloud, a cardinal perched on a feeder, or a single rose in someone’s garden.
All these “small” glimpses are my inspiration to enjoy life and pass this enjoyment onto others. In other words, I like to write and see my thoughts on paper. To me, words are important and reading them is essential to life.
