As Canadians, we instantly contemplated the city of Fort McMurray while considering the outline for the Urban SOS design competition. The small city is experiencing growth phenomena that affects every aspect of the city, its people, the environment and our plant. The past present and future collide in the vision and thoughts of those who understand the predicament created by the oil sands. What are we doing to our planet and at what cost?
