The Mirror

This is a poem of God's love. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life." The effect of sin in our lives is that it twists us spiritually.
If we were to look into a mirror and see ourselves as we are spiritually without salvation, we would behold a truly horrific sight. But thanks to the cleansing blood of Christ--shed for us by His death on the cross--we are able to see ourselves as God Himself sees us: as His creation, created in His image. We can see ourselves, through the purifying blood of Jesus, as "the righteousness of God in Him (Christ)," (2 Corinthians 5:21).
