Broncho Bill Comics: Volume 1
Gwandanaland Comics #1256 -- Wild West Action From The Newspapers to the Comics!
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
He came from the newspaper strips, going all the way back to 1928 when he was known as Young Buffalo Bill, and then Buckaroo Bill, before getting his permanent name of BRONCHO BILL way back in 1932. This collection of his own comic title (#5-16; 1947-1950) contains mostly adapted versions of his strips from the early 1940s, illustrated by Harry O'Neill, with some splash page help from Rafael Astarita to help it adapt to the comics – not to mention terrific cover by Ralph mayo (Volume 1) and Alex Schomburg (Volume 2). BRONCHO BILL is young, but his experience in the hard-living Wild West and the love of his girl Nell, make him more mature – and at times dangerous – than his boyish looks suggest. This is the western comic for the WESTERN COMICS fan!
