Jack Cole is one of the undisputed master of the 1940s and 1950s in comics, and PLASTIC MAN is considered one of his greatest characters. PLASTIC MAN, whose real name was Eel O' Brian, a petty criminal and generally bad guy, came to being via the now-cliche' vat of acid – which at the time was pretty original. Able to bend and twist and turn and all sorts of flexible things, his outlook changed by the also-cliche' secluded monks, PLASTIC MAN fought crime and amazed and amused with his sidekick Woozy Winks for 64 issues of his own comic, and in 102 issues of Police Comics. Gwandanaland Comics has the largest and best-quality collection in print!
We have two versions of this great series available: This version (ELASTIC MAN) contains just the ELASTIC MAN stories, no back-up stories or features, which covers ten volumes from Gwandanaland Comics #801-810 (and beginning with Midcentury Comics #154). If you want the complete issues, you will want our collection titled ELASTIC MAN COMICS (beginning with Gwandanaland Comics #1385 and its Midcentury counterpart).
