Heroism is rarely planned, and so it was for young orphan David Nelson, raised in a monastery and mentored by a monk with a passion for aircraft. When brother Francis is murdered and his amazing prototype plane destroyed, Davy finishes the job, becomes AIRBOY, and spends his days fighting against evil in his flapping-wings plane, including some incredible work fighting against the Axis powers in World War Two. For more than 12 years and over 100 issues, AIRBOY appeared in Airboy Comics (which was originally Air Fighters Comics).
