SILVER STREAK enjoyed one of the more unusual origin stories: He was a taxi driver, hypnotized by a race-car loving swami. The driver was killed by the giant insect (the reason the swami kidnapped the driver, to find out why this kept happening), but the swami brought the taxi driver back to life, and this imbued him with great powers including that of lightning speed. SILVER STREAK fought all type of villains, include Nazis, and had both a sidekick and a pet – each of whom received a transfusion giving them SILVER STREAK's powers. SILVER STREAK appeared in 18 issues of Silver Streak Comics, plus a story each in Daredevil and Dime Comics (plus a reprint in Captain Battle). This is the first and only complete collection of SILVER STREAK in print, and of course it is from Gwandanaland Comics!
