The hero we came to know as WONDER BOY was a survivor of the first order! When his planet was about to be destroyed by collision with a rogue star, he was rocketed to Earth, where he crashed in the heart of Chicago. From there his adventures soon began, and also his travels among the comic publishers. WONDER BOY appeared in National Comics #1-26 (Quality Comics; 1940-42); he re-emerged in Bomber Comics #1-4 (Elliott; 1944-45); and then WONDER BOY completed his Golden Age stories in Terrific Comics #16, Samson #12-13, and WONDER BOY #17-18 (Ajax-Farrell; 1955). These are his complete stories from National Comics #1-26! The quality of some of the NATIONAL COMICS stories are taken from low-resolution microfiche, and at times leave much to be desired. Our choice was to make the bets of these pages, or not offer the collection at all for some time as those stories are located (which could take years); we chose to offer it.
