Black Dog

William's life on his family's farm is filled with trauma and fear. Far from a loving home life, William suffers abuse from his father. The only solace William finds is with his best friend, Winston the dog. But when Winston is taken from him, it feels like there is no one left to turn to. Black Dog is an experimental short story that deals with themes of child abuse, animal abuse, depression, and PTSD. As such, a trigger warning is needed.
