Healing Heat

The human body is uniformly, both by specialists and patients, regarded as a machine too weak to fight cancer. But this is a misconception. First, without our immune system we would be over-whelmed by cancer cells within short period. Second, even in cases of late stage disease so-called spontaneous regressions and cures can happen. Many observed regressions happened after a hefty feverish infection. This long known observation was not explained until recently, but modern immunology can provide insight. This essay investigates whether and how bacterial and viral infections and substances produced by pathogens could be used to treat and prevent cancer.
