Rime verse and roses

I was born in a beautiful village, full of colors and sunsets that infused me with much inspiration. But with time, maturity forces us to leave the nest and venture out into the world to do good for others and prove to ourselves that "there is more happiness in giving than receiving". So, at 18, I left home, ready to learn and continue contributing to ensure that others can enjoy the best that one can offer. My mind was focused on helping in a small town, full of kind-hearted people. Yet, I still experienced moments of depression. I remember writing the first ideas of the poem “Vintage of the time” (page 7), which reflect the clear doubts that haunt anyone who thinks about the fleetingness of life. It may seem extreme to think that the years pass by quickly, but the truth is that it is not surprising because we look back and only remember how poor we were in desires; in wanting to make the most of that time, or having wasted it. Now, only the pain of remembering remains, but the good thing is that it is never too late to take advantage of the lessons of life. My father always said that the best lessons are learned the hard way. I believe that it's as true as the uncertainty of what the future may hold. That's the concept I express in this poem, but it's because of the frustration of my memories, as I was close to death more than five times in my youth, and those experiences made me feel how vain and fleeting life is. But I didn't get stuck in the despair of perishing, but in the possibility of what I can become. I learned that we must seize the time so that our present is a story to share, not news to regret. My greatest story began in May 2015, when I was helping in a distant town. But extra help is always welcome, and many friends had come to support me, but this time, two young women, Jessica and Tania, arrived. They were both sisters, eager to support where there was more need, and thanks to my God, they were able to make themselves available to lend a hand.
