Stress is defined as an exertion placed on the body or mind that requires specialized adaptation mechanisms and defenses. Trauma is the highest level of stress that a system encounters. In almost all cases trauma brings about major changes in the mental and physical state of well being if an individual. Trauma affects the psyche of a person that is responsible for regulation the response and reaction of the individual to an environmental or social stimulus. These traits are subject to changes post trauma.
