The Lost Shakespeare
A Bradley Davison Mystery
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
For Professors Bradley and Libby Davison, their fortieth wedding anniversary celebration with friends and family at Exnard Hall in England should have been a glorious occasion. Instead, it turned into a relentless manhunt for a serial killer.
After their granddaughter discovers a mysterious manuscript stored away in a trunk at Exnard Hall for centuries, it is soon revealed that it is possible that a ‘lost’ Shakespeare has been discovered. The play, entitled The Life and Times of King Henry VII, creates turmoil in the academic world. Is it real or is it a front for another Elizabethan author? To quote Shakespeare, “that is the question.”
Not everyone, though, is pleased about the possibility of a new Shakespearean play. The leader of a rogue group that believes Shakespeare never wrote any play decides to take measures into his own hands to thwart the scholarly effort to authenticate the manuscript—and he does so in the worst possible way—murder.
Brad and Chief Inspector Mag Goldman of the NYPD get drawn into the investigation by assisting Scotland Yard in identifying and tracking London’s newest serial killer, culminating in an assault on Brad’s London home, Exnard Hall.
In this, the twenty-third Bradley Davison Mystery, Brad is pitted against his most elusive and dangerous opponent. It becomes a contest of wills as he delves into the clues and patterns of a killer who will stop at nothing to make sure the ‘lost’ Shakespeare never comes to light.
