Ada, a ten year old Virginian girl, has been a slave her entire life. Her dream has always been to run free. Working in the cotton fields has resulted in her being a very uptight person. She has never felt what it was like to look into a white man's eyes. After eavsedropping on the other workers, she discovers they have a devilish plan involving her owner. Ada knows there will be much more work, which wasn't of interest to her. After debating with herself, Ada is still unsure on whether to run away or stay on the plantation. What will she decide? If she does decide to run away, where will she go?
