The world of the Jinn, a world of fur and claws and howling nights, escapes to ours when a queen and her knight run away together. Unfortunately, their bliss is short-lived, and a heartbroken Almandine is separated from the love of her life, Bertrand. Forced to return alone to the world of the Jinn, Almandine makes a vow to someday be reunited with Bertrand. In the quaint French town of Oublier, a lost and human Bertrand finds new friends, but they too have their own battles. Some endure a daily struggle to be accepted by the ones who try so hard to love them for who they are. Brothers learn to accept their sisters for who they love. Everyone must learn to let go of the past. Amidst this world of love, friends, and forgetting, it is vital that Bertrand remember his Almandine.
