Isaac Watts (1674-1748) is known principally as the author of numerous hymns loved and sung by Christians over many generations. In this classic work on prayer Watts covers all the components of prayer such as Invocation, Adoration, Confession, Petition or Intercession, Pleading, Dedication, Thanksgiving and Blessing (the book is worth the price for this alone). Further chapters go on to cover the nature of prayer, our attitude in prayer, and the role of the Spirit in prayer. Based on an edition published in 1716, this work has been completely re-typeset for issue in this format.
