This is a story based on fact about a robbery and the events which followed. Chauncey Judd was unfortunate to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and became a captive of the robbers. The original book was published in 1874 by Israel Perkins Warren (1814-1912). This transcription was prepared in 2001 by Kenneth Jennings Wooster, third cousin 5 times removed of one of the gang member's, David Wooster.
