The average person tends to think of prisons as places where inmates have free and unlimited access to education, fitness, and entertainment all while being fed, clothed, and sheltered using tax dollars. While some of these services are available, the average California prison does not serve as a vacation spot for criminals, but in fact, life inside is difficult at best and lethally dangerous at the worst.
