Deadbeat County

DEADBEAT COUNTY is a comedy/drama about a day in life of 5 people in a small Southern town. Based on a true story, and set in the 1970's, DEADBEAT COUNTY follows Carl, the local idiot, smarter than the county knows; Opal, a former stripper, who moves back home to raise her two children; Lou, an auctioneer, loud and controlling; Jeb, Opal's father, a racist, alcoholic mechanic; and Eddie, a black man who lives in the ultra-conservative racist county.
