REDACTED DISTILLATIONS
Le Corbusier's transformative erasures
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
A Conceptual Art project celebrating the 100th year anniversary of the publication of “Towards a New Architecture” by the Swiss architect Le Corbusier. As a free-flowing artistic homage to Dadaist and Surrealist traditions, it follows the same morphological rules of the “Cancellature” of Emilio Isgrò, the “Greguerías” of Ramon Gomez de la Serna, and the censorship redactions produced by contemporary intelligence agencies. This publication identifies transformational intentions and imaginative variations to redact and transform, by means of deliberate erasures, the original version of Le Corbusier’s book. The final result is a collection of unique messages for the advancement of today’s architecture and urbanism.
