Boniface Martin OSB (born Wynfreth; c. 675 – 5 June 754) was an English Benedictine monk and leading figure in the Anglo-Saxon mission to the Germanic parts of Francia during the eighth century. He organised significant foundations of the church in Germany and was made bishop of Mainz by Pope Gregory III. In this book, Jesus dictates to Jakob Lorber Bishop Martin's continued existence in the beyond from his lonely beginnings, until his entry into glory, into the city of God. "He who will read these scenes from the beyond with an open mind and in good faith will easily understand what happens to man in the world of spirits after he has left his physical body, and he will be able to use this knowledge to his advantage. The materialist, however, will reject this book, as he does the Scriptures, claiming it to be the foolish product of a brainless would-be writer. This, of course, is of no importance, for sooner or later he himself will arrive in that world where no one but I will be able to help him!"
