Dr. James E. Smith received his A.B., Th.B. and M.Div. degrees from Cincinnati Christian University. He was awarded the Ph.D. degree by Hebrew Union College--Jewish Institute of Religion. Dr. Smith taught for thirteen years in the Graduate School of Cincinnati Christian University. He was the founding Academic Dean of Florida Christian College where he taught for three decades, retiring as Distinguished Professor of Old Testament. He still serves as an Adjunct Professor of Florida Christian College. Dr. Smith has been married fifty-one years to his high school sweetheard, Rachel Stout. The Smiths have two children, Keith and Yona of Orlando, and two grandchildren, Samantha Jane and Campbell James Smith.
