Doppelganger

The story of how a cat's swishing tale changes history. Part romance, part satire, this is not for the politically correct! Young English history teacher Hugh Parry Lyle, while trekking through the lost, mysterious mountains of Iberia, scoffs at local legends that doppelgangers walk there. But then his level-headed, rational existence is sent into a fateful tailspin when he meets supernaturally beautiful local girl Sonia, with whom he cannot help but be infatuated. The point at which the two universes split is nothing more than a cat swishing his tail; but it is the narrator, whose surprise identity is disclosed at the very end, who holds the real key to the mystery. Should he share his stupendous secret with Hugh? It all depends on how he answers his last question. The cat has a twist in his tail!
