Al Howard, a.k.a. Dr. Watson, business woman who becomes entangled in capturing the murderer of her husband’s girlfriend. In the style of Sherlock Holmes set in the ghetto, Al Howard and Grandmother, a.k.a. Sherlock, wheelchair-bound, ordinarily would never have met through circumstances they become friends and confidantes. Also included Al’s misguided husband Brian; Michael, a former gang member turned detective.
Intrigue and abuse by local politicians at City Hall are uncovered by V.G. a sassy newspaper reporter. V.G. also gets involved in chasing the murderer and meets Mac; the flip side of Michael. Mac an “O.G.” (Original Gangster), the elder statesman for the gang. V.G.’s motto: “A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.”
