The death of Alex Stanton’s father was a devastating blow, leaving him in the position of taking over his father’s partnership just after college. Months later he experiences another life altering shock when his father’s business partner is suddenly killed. Alex is suddenly thrust in the position of running the entire corporation. Perhaps even more disconcerting is the realization that he is also now responsible for Donald’s 17 year old daughter. Shelby McCrary has had her life turned upside down and to make matters worse, her guardian is now a man only a few years older than herself.
