The Horse is a volume of poems written as the author traveled back and forth between two regions in the US Great Lakes area, in an attempt to care for his terminally ill mother while managing his own disabling chronic conditions. Focusing on honesty, not inspiration, this is not a book of facile moves or platitudes. How do we live in impossible conditions?
