Jay and Tony Brees live an idyllic life running their grandfather's charter service, Cool Brees Charters, in sunny Key West Florida. Life is good, until younger brother Tony "accidentally" steals a high-tech Department of Defense device that increases a person's intelligence. At first, Tony can't believe his good fortune as he uses the "mysterious helmet" to win a TV game show.
But soon, the boys find not only themselves, but Jay's new girlfriend, Maria, in mortal danger as they become unwitting pawns in a high stakes game of cat and mouse between the cops and the mob in The Genius Project.
