This book looks at how server hosting is purchased from a location standpoint. It explores the idea that there is a connection between the service purchased and the location of the customer to the hosting company.
The report has been commissioned by the board of directors of Server World Ltd, a server hosting company based in Sunbury, Middlesex. The directors of Server World are building a growth strategy but are unsure how to expand. They have noticed a possible link between the location of their data centre and the distribution of their customer base. If this is the situation then it may possibly point to growing the business around smaller, local data centres located strategically across the country as opposed to building a large central location to cover all areas.
The report looks at the current distribution of Server World’s customer base and attempts to analyses what is causing that distribution.
