In this picture book co-created by 14-year-old author Pi Wang and AI, readers are invited to cross the boundary between the real and the imagined — to enter a world where birds, nature, and humanity meet in quiet conversation. Since childhood, the author has carried a deep love for nature. His journeys have taken him across forests, mountains, lakes, and wetlands in different countries, always with a camera and notebook, following the trails of birds. The book combines real bird photographs taken during these travels with AI-generated illustrations inspired by the author’s own field notes and photographs — forming a poetic dialogue between feathered reality and imagined vision. Through these images co-created with algorithms, the author shares not only his personal journey as a young birdwatcher, but also his gentle yet passionate care for the environment, for life, and for the ethical use of technology — to help more children and more beautiful birds share a brighter Earth.
