Shorter words are always easier to read. For some reason, we seem to forget this simple fact. The Sumo Word List is a compilation of 2000 short words. For students that are just starting to read or are having difficulty reading, the Sumo Word List provides children the opportunity to practice reading without having to deal with any unexpected “exceptions.” The Sumo Word List is systematically organized to introduce new rules step by step in an easy to read format.
