Some basic questions all Americans should ask themselves: -Are United States’ elections really free and fair, and perceived as credible at home and around the world? -Does the United States have effective transitions of power? Are our candidates exercising good sportsmanship when they lose an election? -Who is in charge, providing oversight, and serving as an honest broker of U.S. elections? (e.g., Congress, a bipartisan agency, an international body, or individual states)? -Do we, as voters, have confidence in the accuracy and integrity of our election results? -Is the playing field even and fair (i.e., with the use of campaign finances, wealth, and with regards to race)? -How often are non-citizens actually able to get a vote through the system? Is there a high percentage of fraud as some would suggest? -Why should we care about the quality of our elections and why should we register to vote? Is it that important to our daily lives? These are all tough questions we will investigate in the Voting Project.
