Our relationship with Christ allows us to, by faith, do all things that God expects of us. When life is about the relationship instead of the rules the whole picture changes permanently. We can do all things (be a good spouse, be a good parent or child, love others, have charity, be a true friend, etc.) through Christ which gives us strength to succeed in the purpose that God called us to complete. We can stand through trials and temptations, good times and bad times, through Christ, with the realization that all things work together for good to them that love God (have a loving relationship with God); and we can be of good cheer knowing that God’s promises are available to be enjoyed today, and not just in some future time period. We have eternal life now, in the present, and not just in the future. We can be successful in life through Christ because our relationship with Him redefines success for us. Our purpose shifts from personal wealth and gain to “Love God, Love People”.
