A One Eyed Monster in Japan. Presenting a one-eyed monster’s view of Kawaii – the Japanese notion of ‘cuteness with teeth’. A collection of 35mm photographs of objects on public display – 156 windows onto other worlds created by the hand of man. Taken at street level in Tokyo, Kamakura, Osaka, Koyasan, Kyoto, Himeji, Kurashiki, Fuji and Kawaguchiko. This is all organic photography – natural light, real objects, with nothing added, nothing taken away. Strangeness and unreality exactly as human nature intended.
