The Development of the Single Molecule Recycler and Data Analysis Techniques for Solution Based FRET Studies

Research related to applications of antenna based molecular imaging to understand the relationship between adhesion molecule distribution and surface topography. While the specific binding sites are known the three-dimensional structure of the folded protein as well as the conformational changes associated with its function are not known. Thus, measuring the energy transfer efficiency between a FRET pair attached to a single protein allows us to construct or verify different protein models.
