In December of 1979, a young fishing and canoe guide from Northern Minnesota arrived in Alaska with no money, no plans and no idea what he was doing, or where he was going. He found himself living in the middle of nowhere in the Alaskan Interior, 70 miles from the nearest town or road. There he discovered who he was, and what he was meant to do.
