"Where the hell is Greene" is a question of; what makes someone an adult? Is it merely age? Or is it the product of the things that we do? This book also addresses the innate human experience we all have; our pasts. Greene, a young man, finds himself in a strange place in the beginning of the novel. But as he acclimates and gets used to his environment, his past begins to catch up to him. Ask yourself, as a person, is it our past that make us who we are? Or is it how we're able to address the past that make us better people?
