On the 8th October 2007, 5000 demonstrators, of which the majority were students, took to the streets of London to march on Paliament on the first day back for MP’s after the long summer holiday. The march was particuarly important as it had been banned by police using a draconian law from the 15th century. Detemined to march, protestors gathered in Trafalger Square despite the ban, upholding their strong belief in free speech and the right to protest. Minutes before the start of the rally, police announced that the march would be allowed to go ahead, despite their attempts to stop it. This book is a collection of photographs from that day.
