Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The earliest published book to contain the revelations of Joseph Smith Jr. would be the Book of Commandments. W. W. Phelps, originally published in Independence, Missouri. Anti-Mormon/pro-slavery mob destroyed the press on July 20, 1833. They were frightened of Mormon political power, and saw Phelps's writings in the Evening and Morning Star to be abolitionist. When the mob attacked, only about two thirds of the book had been printed. Most of the uncut and unbound sheets of the book were destroyed by fire. Only about 100 copies survived. Eventually the Book of Commandments were re-edited the book into a larger text retitled the Doctrine and Covenants with changes to some of the revelations. This book of scripture is still seen as canon by some Latter Day Saint churches today that reject the Doctrine and Covenants that came later.
