From 2000 until the end of 2011 he lived together with his wife Caroline de Roy van Zuydewijn in Antwerp (Belgium). She is a designer of hats and is owner of a Hats salon. They both are of Dutch descent. So some stories happen in the Hats salon, in the City of Antwerp, and of course in the studio of the artist. Ther are also stories about Annabelle, a character which is perhaps 35 years old, but by her mental handicap, she looks 12. It’s a lovely person and she and the author have lots of fun. Jozef Bloks is a writer who often just starts writing and then the story comes out by itself. Characters and situations come out spontaneously... he creates a digital fireworks, a girl that kisses like applesauce, a cow that gives wine, Betty Talk, a barking Toucan, a performance with a horse that pees…
